Co-option Policy
Filling casual vacancies on the council
When the council has a vacancy and no election has been called, they may choose to co-opt someone to fill the vacant seat. Any vacancies will be advertised on this website, the village noticeboards and in the Meeting Point newsletter.
The Co-option Procedure explains how this will be done.
Interested candidates should download and read the Co-option Criteria and Eligibility document and send the required details to the Clerk to indicate their interest in filling the vacant seat.
