Councillor vacancy

Could you represent your community as a parish councillor?

Published: 4 February 2026

Diverse group of people, some are raising their hands

The council are seeking a community-minded resident to fill the vacant seat on the council, caused by the resignation of Jeremy Warren. As a councillor, you could help represent community views, support local projects, and work with others to keep Aust parish as a safe, welcoming, and pleasant place to live.

We would particularly encourage residents of Littleton to consider putting themselves forward, as the village is currently under-represented on the council. However, any eligible resident who feels they could contribute is welcome to apply.

You can find more about the process of becoming a parish councillor in our Co-option pack, or by speaking to the Clerk or one of the current councillors. You would also be welcome to attend a meeting to see more of what we do, before commiting yourself!
