Community Infrastructure Levy
The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge on some types of development, to help with the cost of wider infrastructure. The parish council receives 15% of any CIL paid on developments within the parish.
CIL reports show how much funding we have received and how it has been used.
The dates refer to the year in which the funds were collected from developers – i.e. the 2045/25 report covers funds which were collected in 2024/25, passed to the parish council in April 2025 and spent over the following year.
As the parish does not see a lot of development, the amounts received are small. The council may choose to hold CIL funds over for several years to fund a larger purchase. CIL money must be spent within five years of receipt.
